Korazim-Capernaum Trail
— Stepping Across Time

A Pilgrimage to the Past, Footsteps to the Future

According to the gospel of Matthew, Jesus preached in Korazim, then descended a trail to a dwelling in Capernaum, on the coast of the Sea of Galilee. Both Korazim and Capernaum were pilgrimage sites for centuries, and today are part of the Israel National Park system.

This breathtaking region features a village with ancient historical dwellings, a ritual bath, olive presses, and a magnificent 4th century synagogue — with a so-called Moses’ Seat, a place where the Torah was read in public long ago.

Korazim and Capernaum are connected by a famous trail, used by Christian as well as Jewish history lovers, seeking to walk in the footsteps of wise leaders of the past. You can beautify and improve this trail through your membership, allowing for more visitors than ever before.
